By observing the tourists who are part of the landscape of Belém, in Lisbon, reflections on colonialism, emigration, identity, and tourism are constructed.

Jonas Amarante is the director and one of the curators of DOC.Coimbra – International Documentary Festival (Coimbra, Portugal). He has directed several documentaries, including 30 Days (30 Dias, 2021, 70 min); Dom Joaquim Mamede Road (Estrada Dom Joaquim Mamede, 2013, 13 min), which was screened at the 26th Cinelatino Rencontres de Toulouse and the 23rd Curta Cinema; On Side (2011, 15 min), which won the Audience Award at the 2nd Cinefoot; and Ilha do Cardoso (2008), broadcast by Canal Brasil.
He holds a Master’s degree in Communication, Culture, and Information Technologies (ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon, 2019) and a Postgraduate Degree in Documentary Cinema (Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Rio de Janeiro, 2013).
