How to Get Involved
Welcome to the Short Film Observatory initiative – an independent research and dissemination project.
Our Vision
The Short Film Observatory was born from a burning desire to celebrate cinema in its rawest, boldest form. This is not a traditional event, but a space for encounters, observation, and exchange. Conceived as a platform for visibility for self-produced and marginal works, the SFO highlights short films and video works that fall outside institutional funding circuits, yet shine through their vision, urgency, and singularity.
Why collaborate with us?
By getting involved with the SFO, you are contributing to a powerful cultural gesture – a celebration of free, unrestrained cinema. You help create space for those who are inventing new forms, often beyond traditional frameworks. Your support allows these works to live, circulate, and meet a curious, engaged audience. It is also a way of associating yourself with a bold initiative that takes a stand for independent, human, artisanal cinema.
Ways to Get Involved
We offer several ways to collaborate with the OCM:
– Cultural or media partnerships to amplify the reach of the project.
– Logistical or financial support (even modest) to help us organize activities under the best possible conditions.
– Direct involvement as a collaborator, volunteer, or local contact.
Every form of engagement matters. By joining us, you become part of an alternative ecosystem that brings to life another vision of cinema: freer, more intimate, closer to the creative gesture itself.
