SYNOPSIS
In a room, a man remembers various french and italian spaces. Intertwined sea and mountain landscapes, pieces of beach, a sea wall. Built like a dreamy loop, the film, shot in super 8, brings together, in its narration, different forms: it is between the first person documentary, the poetic essay, and experimental fiction.

Sébastien film exclusively in Super 8, capturing spaces, landscapes, and people that are dear to him.
He also practice film photography and regularly exhibit is work. In addition, he teach philosophy at a public high school and have published seven books with Stock and Actes Sud.
After Vercors (2021), The Sea is Ashen is his second film.
